It doesn’t get much sweeter than sisterhood, and big sister Taylor was so excited to show off her little sister Isabelle. I photographed Taylor as a newborn, and she’s featured in the Client Guide as the tiny newborn with a huge grin! She still has a gorgeous smile, and was happy to tell me about everything she’s been up to lately. I love seeing families return, and I will never get over just how quickly those little babies turn into big kids!
Isabelle arrived early, just over a month before her due date, and did so well she was able to come home in time for Christmas. A little unexpected but definitely the best gift of the season. She was almost too big for the tiny fur lined hooded romper, but snuggled perfectly into the bitty crib (handmade by me and a great prop for babies of all ages).
She looked precious and perfect in pink and peach- look at those little cheeks filling out already. I recently received the pink headband from Polka Dot Poppy so she was the first to model it. New props and accessories arrive monthly to offer a large selection and ensure your portraits are just as unique as your baby.
Tiny fingers and toes, ears and lips- these details of your baby grow and change so quickly! Newborn ear fuzz shows just how brand new they are. The soft mohair romper coordinates nicely with the fun, feminine floral wreath for babies to snuggle right in.
Family portraits are such a great way to welcome and celebrate a new baby. With older siblings, mixing things up with more lifestyle and candid poses is a good way to keep up their spirits and hold their attention while capturing real expressions. And even the most camera shy of parents beam at their newborn babies. After all, new baby smell is one of the best scents! It’s almost impossible not to kiss a baby snuggled in close.
