It’s been a busy year so far, with the highlight being a move to a new studio space. Perfectly sized for newborns and babies, the new studio boasts a wide variety of brand new props and backdrops (and of course we’ve kept favorites such as the antique doll carriage, vintage scale, and nest basket) and is just down the street from our former space. Full sessions, including newborn sessions, are still offered either in-studio or on location. Mini sessions will be held in studio only.

This session was a surprise Christmas gift. Mom carefully planned so Dad wouldn’t suspect a thing!

We had a lot of fun at Lanikai Beach, including dressing for the season. All you need to be the cutest girl at the party is a pretty red and white pettiskirt! (Hat optional).

And who could resist this adorable baby mermaid?

Dad is a musician, so of course this little girl is a budding pianist. She loves composing on her tot-size piano, making this shot a must have.

I’m sure this rockin’ family had a very merry Christmas!

I’m a little (okay, maybe a LOT) biased, but my favorite baby of 2010 celebrated his half birthday just before Christmas. To mark the occasion, we headed up to Helemano Farms in Wahiawa in addition to our holiday themed studio mini session.

I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m the only person on island who owns an actual sled. It’s fun for Christmas beach portraits, but this year we took it to a more typical location. It was great for containing my active crawler.

I photographed Miss Sophie’s big brothers at 9 months old, so I was excited to meet her at the same age. She’s such a happy little girl, and adored by all her family.

She had so many adorable expressions, and loved our little game of peek-a-boo! The soft pinks brought out her fair complexion and bright blue eyes.

We also played dress up and she modeled a fluffy girly pettiskirt.

This on-location session at Sophie’s home in Kaneohe, Hawaii was one of my favorites. Great light + happy baby = magic!
